Young Justice Season 2 Episode 13 The Fix Review

I have to come clean, I couldn't review last week's episode because I didn't have a whole lot to say about it.

However this weeks one I think I can best sum up into two words.

Overall this episode has incredibly deep psychological aspects to them, with them going into the mind of Aqualad showing off his inner turmoil along with how dealing with being a double agent, along with Artemis who experiencing the same turmoil. Speaking of which I the absence of Artemis on the show has really been feeling out of place lately so seeing her take the center role in another episode was terrific. As for side plots there isn't to much to say about them, we have some screen time between Miss Martian and her rejection of Lagaan but nearly everything else was forgettable. This includes a few moments between Blue Beetle and Green Beetle, really felt they went no where until we get a final scene with him being able to control the scarab, off screen and the episode ends with Impulse being shocked upon learning the news. Really? Wouldn't complain if it weren't for these two reasons, one we just had the last two episodes end with Jaime issues with the scarab and it feels like a down play of the last scene where Black Manta tells Artemis they plan on killing MM when they're done which would been a better way to end the episode. Still I'm not taking away any credit for it because this show shifts around a lot and I'm sure it must have been hard for them to find the right place to put it. Biggest issue is the fact that they found out what The Reach juice does but they can't do anything because the JL has NO CREDIBILITY AT ALL, once again they've been around for ten years and they're public figures someone should believe them. Also G. Gordon Godfrey appears in the Reach Juice commercial because Juice endorsed by Bill O'Reilly would be just plain crazy. Next weeks episode we're going to see Static and the rest of the runaways and this weeks episode certainly got me interested enough to get excited for next weeks.

4/5
